Upon arrival we found some damage to the caravan, 2 bedside lamps were broken, wallpaper picked off the wall in 1 of the bedrooms, net curtains were ripped/torn, one of the windows didn't stay open and had to be propped open, hole on one of the bedroom doors where the handle had gone into it, scissors were broken in the drawer (I brought some and left them there). The oven door didn't close properly so didn't get up to temperature and took ages to try and cook anything (pizza took over 40 minutes to cook, sausage didn't cook at all) The hob was dangerous 3 of the cooker knobs were broken and it was very temperamental in switching it off, the knob was in the wrong direction when off and another wouldn't switch off at all. The shower was way too hot and couldn't be turned down, we couldn't shower the children even with the boiler on the lowest it would go. 2 x carbon monoxide alarms were 3 years out of date and the fire extinguisher hadn't been serviced since 2016. I don't understand how it got passed off as safe when both of these are a legal requirement when renting out accommodation. The overall cost for this caravan was 1240 to include entertainment passes this was in no way worth the money charged and I wish to raise a formal complaint for a partial refund of cost paid. I would also like answers as to how this property can be rented when it does not comply with current legislation, I had 2 small children with me and this was our only holiday of the year so this was the only reason we stayed as I didn't want to disappoint them by leaving early which I would have done had it just been me and my husband.
