    Not worth the money until they upgrade their service.
    The Breakfast was awful, below standard for a 5 star hotel. The cleanliness was to a poor standard. We called the hotel one evening 12 times with no answer, in an emergency the hotel would bet of no use.

    Luxury resort in Phuket
    The compound was beautiful, so much privacy and space. Lovely to cycle around and enjoy the greenery.
    We noticed the pool wasn't as clean as we expect a pool to be so we asked the staff but they assured us it was clean. However, on the second day of our stay it became really clear so it was obvious that they had cleaned it later. But all ended well when they apologised for the error and as a show of goodwill waived the in room dining charges which we thankfully accepted.

    Great resort and really enjoyed our stay. Banyan tree cafe was amazing! Right on Bangtao beach and can shuttle boat to canal village and boat avenue was really convenient.
    Breakfast could be improved. Food was often cold or gone dry. Too many bugs in room. As this resort is in the Laguna area and by the lagoon... be prepared to be bitten by Mosquitos!

    A large hotel with pool villas. Staff aim to please.
    The breakfast was good, if busy. Not a personal experience but perhaps that's to be expected in a large hotel. My room was good, although full of mosquitoes. Housekeeping were very busy so it sometimes took them a while to get to my room but when they did, the service was good. I used in-villa dining a lot, which was always prompt and beautifully presented. In general, the staff made a bit effort to look after guests.
    The sheet on the bed was turned over rather than changed which I thought was rather unhygienic. Once I raised it, it stopped. I said I was happy to have my sheets changed every other day, which housekeeping then did. The gym consists of an equipment room and a second room for mat work. Unfortunately this second room was closed for the whole of my stay due to refurbishment. Banyan Tree also own several neighbouring hotels which are a complete contrast to the pretty Banyan Tree Hotel.
