Absolutely fabulous resort, will come back again to this paradise island in the future!
The resort was just simply wonderful. It was already our second time visiting. The overall atmosphere, all the facilities, the staff, the pools and food were all exquisite. Currently the resort is undergoing a renovation, but we did not find any hinder from this.
The overall price increased a lot, compared to a previous booking (in 2019).

The room was absolutely stunning, facilitys were fab. We loved the pool in our room and the pools in resort. Bikes and water sports were n added bonus. Food was delicious from breakfast, dinner and room service. Staff at the welcome entrance before you get boat were absolutely fantastic, made us feel so welcome. I honestly left so happy x

The hotel does not have a proper logistics strategy to deal with the location. Getting to and from the mainland was a logistical nightmare. They do not have a water taxi schedule on demand as advertised. There are boat transfers every hour, but we had instances of the boats being too full so we were bumped onto the next transfer and hour later.
The staff lack ownership and accountability for the guest experience. We had several challenges with our room ( no aircon remote, no drinking water, room not serviced until 4pm, lights not working etc.) In addition, there was construction that was creating noise and congestion that we were not informed about.
Overall our experience was very disappointing.

Breakfast had a very wide selection and everything was very good! Western and Asian options.
There are three pools, 1 by the beach, 1 above, and 1 at the Spa all clean and great ! Also 2 water slides :).
The gardens in this hotel are beyond exquisite, they are so gorgeous and so flourished it was beautiful.
The Spa was beautiful and great massages + staff. Includes a pool with many massage jets, Sauna and steam room which you can access before the massage.
Fitness Room - Had quite a few amenities, I am pretty sure they are building a bigger one next to the main pool.
Restaurants - There are two right next to each other: 1 Italian/western and the other Thai and beach snacks. And another which has Japanese and cocktails.
Very good food (both restaurants), normal prices for a resort.
They have numerous FREE activities - Bike rental, boat to a nearby island, free ferries to Phuket mainland every hour, Snooker table, Kids club, Aqua Gym, Ping Pong. Numerous other activities which are paying ones.
Very close by there is a village with restaurants, bar and massage also which you can go to by bike or by walking which have cheaper options all whilst being on the island.

Renovation: They are doing a huge renovation + building project right next to the beach + main pool so it is loud due to the electric tools. (Dec 23) They seemed to be near completion though !
The Beach: It is not a crystal see through water beach, it is a muddy beach(brown green water), but the water is clean. Just isn't blue.
Arrival: When arriving we were recommended to go to Laem Him Pier - we arrived and there is no one to help or guide you to make sure you are on the right boat. It was a bit of a guessing game and the boat staff is not the most helpful and communicative ...
We later found out they have a lagoon pier (which has a whole bar and area owned by The Village Coconut Island. I really recommend they send all the new guests here so they can be properly received.
We did go during peak season all the staff were really busy so some organisational problems. So best to double check everything with the reception before hand + just before.
We organised with the hotel to have a car pick us up to bring us to the airport, but it never arrived so we got our own. They said however, that they will reimburse us at 100%. But best to double check everything if they are very very busy.

The perfect place for a relaxing tropical escape!
The Village Coconut Island Beach Resort is a great place to spend 3 or 4 nights to soak up the beautiful jungle island atmosphere. My outdoor jacuzzi suite was a very good value: huge, comfortable, and perfectly cleaned every day. It had a warm tub outside surrounded by tropical flowers & greenery, and a large clawfoot tub in the spacious bathroom... with aromatic bath salts provided as needed!
To my surprise, the "pier" for getting to and from the island was super stylish and seemed more like a posh open-air lobby than a pier, with cold water provided and resort-quality bathrooms. It was very easy to reach by taxi. Just make sure to call a day in advance to reserve a seat at the hour you want to depart, because all seats were full when I went.
The water at the resort was warm, calm and perfectly swimmable when the tide was up.
The vast majority of the staff were as warm and welcoming as could be, especially to a solo traveler, going out their way to make me feel comfortable. The (very) few people that were not in the best mood were almost certainly just tired since they work very hard serving tons of visitors in the tropical heat.
The resort offers tours of different islands on specific days of the week, so if there is a tour you are very interested in, be sure to contact the resort first so you can stay there the correct days. The Hong Island tour was excellent, with an amazing and energetic guide. It was a good value for the money and very professionally done. The activities coordinators are great and go out of their way to make sure you know about all of the fun options available to you, many of which are complimentary. The free trip to Rang Yai, Thai language class and water aerobics were especially fun.
Definitely go on a night when there is a fire show on the beach (for me in December 2023, it was only on Thursdays).

We refused to live there. We found a lizard and a cockroach in our suite in the water heater for tea. We were forced to live there and decided to leave it and make a checkout. The hotel refused to return the amount of accommodation to us. I hope that Booking.com will return the amount to us. I do not recommend staying there, especially the Arabs.
