Blue Jay, Derby by Marston's Inns is conveniently located despite highway noise. The rooms are clean and simple with comfortable beds. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The pub offers good fo (Read More)od options and holds events like pub quizzes. The hotel is well-maintained, with the river nearby for walks. Overall, guests were pleasantly surprised by the value for money and would happily stay again.

Superb

Lovley and clean and quiet and the manager gave me my breakfast for free wishing me a happy new year ,lovley staff

Twin beds but together in my room so when I rolled over it was a bit uncomfortable cus wasn't level ,but still slept well .

We were inviting our friends over for New Years Day breakfast but with the bar being closed we had to find another venu

The location was ideal for our visit

Not being told that the bar area was closed for a private function until after my payment had been taken.As it was this did not have a bearing on our visit but it would have been nice to have had the choice.

Room was clean

Hard beds noisy family and ordered food of the menu and was told they didn't service spicy pulled pork when it was on the menu. I ordered strongbow darkfruits and it was off was returned to bar and staff didn't apologise just replaced pint for another

Superb

There to visit family for Christmas and it was all we exptected it to be.

Room was clean and tidy. Twin beds were requested and that is what we got. Staff throughout were excellent.

Pleasant

Pleasant and convenient

Location was great for work. Staff friendly. Daily carvery was a nice option.

The bedrooms need a bit of a refresh, but were quite comfortable and clean.

Otherwise warm and comfortable as usual

Whenever we stay in a family room we're a little irked by the fact that, despite the room sleeping 4, there are still only 2 mugs and 2 glasses like in the double rooms. Also no biscuits this time.
