    perfect location, charming old building
    The location is perfect, literally just outside the Cathedral. (Our room had a view of it, which was especially beautiful at night.) It's in a very old building with charming eccentricities like winding corridors. Staff was very helpful.

    A wonderful Hotel in Canterbury next to the Cathedral
    I love Cathedral Gate Hotel and is my favourite in Canterbury. If you are coming to visit the Cathedral, this is the best and most traditional Hotel. Breakfast is absolutely delicious and the staff takes great care of you. I highly recommend Cathedral Gate Hotel.

    The staff were all brilliant especially the young lady who greeted us, checked us in, and served us breakfast on the first morning of our stay. Perfect location for a spot of Christmas shopping (or any other type of shopping for that matter!) Would also be a great base to simply soak up and explore Canterbury. Easy to get to and just a fabulously quirky place to stay - right next to the magnificent Canterbury Cathedral. Highly recommended, in fact this was a return visit from last year and we fully intend to come back next year!

    Lovely quirky hotel
    Wonderful location in the city centre, within easy walk of all the shops and attractions. The nearest car park is only a few minutes down the road so it was no problem to leave he car there and walk to the hotel with our suitcase. The staff were efficient and friendly Our room was large and clean with a nice modern ensuite bathroom. The continental breakfast was very nice with a good selection.

    Location is perfect. Extremely central !! All staff are friendly, chatty and very helpful

    Ideal for a short city break.
    Wonderful historic building right next to the Cathedral entrance and in the historic old town. Very convenient for the city centre shops in the mostly pedestrianised shopping area. 15 min walk from Canterbury West Station.
