cleanliness, friendliness of some staff members, size of bed

The receptionist when checking out and leaving property was very rude, I realised I only had cash left & had to wait a minute for a friend to transfer me the money to pay for the rest of the bill (which was 6.40) and the guy at reception made rude comments telling me to hurry up and laughing saying that he would wipe it if I needed to, insisting I couldnt afford to pay when that was not the case - when my partner tried to explain that we were just waiting a minute on money coming through and that it was a misunderstanding he got very defensive and pulled out the chip and pin demanding us to pay and trying to hurry us up and embarrass us in front of other members of the public, he didnt handle the situation very professionally and didnt even try to hear us out, this resulted in my partner becoming very frustrated and telling the receptionist to back off. My partner quickly left as soon as It was paid and I had a word with the guy, he acted as if he did nothing wrong and it was acceptable to speak to us the way he did. Very disappointing as I really enjoyed my stay and all the other staff members were excellent.

Staff were brilliant, bed comfortable, access was good, felt safe , etc

Lack of variety with breakfast, only bacon, sausages, scramble eggs, beans , most of the containers were empty on two of the three days. There is not value for money.

The rooms were quirky and fun, and the location was excellent!

The check-in system was down so there was a bit of a queue had formed by the time we got there to check-in. Not something that would be a common occurrence - definitely not something that would put us off staying again! :-)

Always a nice stay in this hotel, shower is fantastic, everything provided is as expected and you feel safe with the card reader locked doors and lifts.

The OS that controls the room is absolutely terrible, the lighting controls never work, the tablet always freezes, hardly any selection on the TV and the chromecast feature does not work when connected to the hotels poor free wi-fi, this all used to work so much better but its went downhill in recent years and the mobile app is also meant to control the room but that hardly works either.

Very good

Stayed here for Hogmany and would return again.

Loved the size of the bed, and how lighting etc was controlled via iPad. Great location and staff were really friendly.

There was a few cleanliness issues but it would not put me off returning.
