    The Cliffden Hotel is a lovely old hotel in a great location with a decent breakfast and friendly staff, offering good value for money. However, the hotel appears a bit tired and some areas like the (Read More)pool are off limits. The bed was uncomfortable with two doubles pushed together, and some guests had dogs in the dining room, which was off-putting for some visitors. Overall, the Christmas decorations were beautiful.

    Nice location hotel and grounds but not for me sorry
    The hotel was lovely. Clean and comfortable room. Staff were polite and helpful
    I didn't realise that it was a dog friendly hotel. I really don't like dogs in the dining area or on the furniture. Also food wasn't great.

    Great staff and location. Will definitely be back.
    Fabulous trip staff and hotel were amazing.
    Just one thing. The background music played all night and you could really hear the bass in our room keeping my husband awake.

    The view of the sea, the gardens, and the shortcut into town. Lovely staff, two young girls at breakfast, very cherry and approachable. Especially the young girl whose 4th shift it was. She was very friendly and professional.
    The breakfast was cold, as people couldn't put the lids down as others were waiting to use the breakfast items. Plus, others just didn't close the lids. This spoilt the stay, so it would be best .if the hotel found an alternative way to keep the food hot. Plus, the shower was extremely low pressure.

    The lovely old hotel building and location has great potential but the overall experience was poor.
    Location - Beautiful location in own grounds.
    Breakfast - no orange juice. Milk running out in coffee machine. Generally mediocre. Rooms - First one offered was dingy and uninviting. Offered alternative which was comfortable and had a great view but water was barely hot in the shower ad the sink tap was loose. A coffee maker in the room would have been nice.

    We would definately stay there again. Nice for a family of 4 adults to sit in bar in evening.
    The accessible room was perfect for our needs. The breakfast on the Monday morning was not so good,Tuesdays breakfast was much better, thank you. The location is fantastic for beach and town. A lovely walk through the gardens and all dog friendly.
    They could have had another member of staff on on Sunday evening. The one member was rushing from one counter to another trying to serve all aspects of the hotel. Well done to that lady for managing to keep on top of the situation! Mondays breakfast was a little disappointing, not very well stocked, constant requests from all the waiting customers.
