While the Hosts of the Dwaraka Inn were extremely friendly and helpful, I have very strong reservations about the way StayVista managed our booking. Booking.com stated I could make the reservation without making any advance payment and also cancel the booking free of cost upto a time, I started getting calls from StayVista within hours of the online booking on Booking.com informing me that unless I may a sum of Rs. 30,000/- within 24 hours, they will cancel my booking. I made the payment. Then immediately I get more calls asking for full settlement of the booking amount within 24 hours, otherwise, the booking stands cancelled. I made that as well. Then within a few days, I was instructed to submit the Identity proof of all the 14 members of my group and add each of them to a miserably designed site along with the jpegs of the ID cards.... the ordeal still goes on... subsequently, just a few days before my trip, I get a WhatsApp message from Vista informing me that the booing "stands cancelled"... I was having a heart failure reading this... then came another message that I should ignore the earlier "glitch.."... The owner of the property Mr. Mannadiar paid us a visit to enquire about our stay. He was very very friendly and extremely polite. I cannot find any flaw with his property except that the Pool was not functional. While I asked him why the pool was not working, he informed me that from the start of the Covid, they have closed down the pool. But neither Booking.com nor StayVista shared this information on their messages to me or on their site at the time of booking . We were quite disappointed that we could not use the beautiful pool. But Booking.com and Vista collected full money from us in spite of the fact that the premium asset of the property, which was the private pool was dry. Anyways, we have decided to file a case on the Consumer Redressal Forum on this matter.
