Great location & staff

The location is wonderful, though the hotel does not have a private beach, it opens onto a very nice public beach. The beach is open to the public, and there is direct access from the hotel back side. The hotel is located quite nicely and lose to several cafes and small restaurants.

The breakfast can definitely be worked on. We did not think the breakfast quality was that of what we were paying, or that of a five start hotel. The general cleanliness was acceptable, but could have been better.

The hotel is under renovations. Half the main lobby area closed. We should have been told before booking. Very old and uncared for hotel

Nice historic experince

Historic feel of the interiors, location, sea view, breakfast and service, everything was great!

It is a bit old, but it adds to the overall atmosphere. The lobby was under construction during my stay, so I couldn't enjoy it.

I liked swimming pool, food in the restaurants was great! not a lot of people

nobody did not warn me that the beach was under renovation. it was terrible surprise that there was a construction near the beach. I was dissapointed so much. And in my room it smelled smoke of cigarette .

Full service hotel with lovely staff!

Fantastic hotel with everything you could need to enjoy a bit of downtime in Muscat. The pool and fitness club/spa were wonderful and the staff extremely helpful, accommodating and lovely to deal with. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and unforgettable. The tea time was lovely too!

The location is a bit far from downtown Muscat meaning you need to have a car to get anywhere. The main part of the hotel was closed off/under construction which we werent aware of.

Very worn, old hotel - not a good reference to Grand Hyatt

The rooms are quite large and the balcony door can be opened to allow fresh air into the room. The hotel is located on the sea, but unfortunately does not have any beach. The construction of some sort of a beach walk is separating the hotel completely from the beach.

The hotel is very old and everywhere the impression persits, it is either just up for a complete renovation or demolishion. Wear of furniture, bed, bathroom, hallway carpets and even restaurant chairs on the terrace are very obious. There is simply no upkeep in this hotel. Loose floor tiles in the lobby are not even going unnoticed by hotel staff or management, but are perhaps ignored, certianly not fixed. The hotel is neither 'Grand' nor any reference to the 'Hyatt' brand - in fact it is damaging the reputation of the Hyatt brand. Totally overpriced hotel and food.

I will come again

The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The pool area is very nice and with a direct access to the public beach. The staff is always welcoming and smile. The cleaner of our floor/wing was particularly nice.

The hotel is 25 years old and needs a bit of refurbishment but it is still a very good hotel. The lobby was closed and in the process of being repared.

The room had everything we needed and the service was excellent.

There was a good variety of food. It was cool enough to sit outside which gave a nice ambience for breakfast.

I chose to sit outside because the weather allowed it but if I had to sit inside I was not overly impressed with the tent. It looked dark and uninviting.
