I requested laundry service upon checking in. Multiple issues I experienced in my original room; lamp wasn't working, TV had frozen, and the shower wasn't draining (gross). The technician who came to remedy the issues walked in with his outdoor shoes and left footprints all around the room and on the white towel - I don't fault him for this oversight as it should be a hotel policy. They switched rooms for me to make up for the original issues, and in the new room the same large lamp wasn't working, the fridge was empty, and when they delivered my laundry it was someone else's! They took the other person's laundry and assured me they would get me mine early the next morning. The next morning the head of laundry knocks on my door at 8:45 am and asks me what my laundry looks like?? So, they had lost it. He flipped through a book which listed laundry items from each room and could not find my list. I was a bit appalled as I required these items right away after travelling prior to arriving at the GM Hotel. He returns an hour later with SOMEONE ELSE'S laundry again, I'm convinced at this point they had delivered my laundry to someone else's room (my undergarments and my clothes were in there). After a third time of coming with someone else's laundry (absurd), the Executive Housekeeping Manager sets up a meeting with me. We chat, she expresses her sympathies and understanding and informs me that they will have my laundry ready in 10 minutes and they will be upgrading my room for my troubles, which I did appreciate. They had my laundry in my room before I left for my lunch meeting.
When I returned from my meetings, they took me to my upgraded suite and walked me through the room to ensure everything was working and satisfactory - also appreciated. When I was finally checking out they did make me pay for laundry which I found laughable.
