    The host was very kind and helpful. Room was clean and big and we have mice view pf tea plantation. Food was also amazing! The best srilankan set we had. We highly recommend this place!

    Amazing stay at Green Gregory Villa
    First of all, this very lovely family are wonderful people! They welcomed us at our arrival, and offered cup of teas. They will make you feel comfortable and that you will spend a good time during your stay. The rooms are clean. The view from it is breathtaking, overlooking tea plantations. Home-cooked rice & curry dinner was, as usual, big and very tasty (they will adjust the spice levels if needed as it is fresh!). Breakfast is also delicious. The exchange with the family was smooth and pleasant, sharing stories. We even had the chance to try on the local (sweet) red wine, offered by the hosts. I highly recommend staying there, and will certainly be back on our next visit to Nuwara Eliya.

    The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful and the food for breakfast and dinner was plentiful and excellent. All freshly cooked. The room is basic but very clean and the stay was very good value for money. The place is 20 min walk into town. Very quiet place overlooking the hills. Plenty of blankets for a warm sleep if it gets cold at night.
    Because when we stayed it was raining a lot a small heat stove would have been useful to dry our stuff.

    conveniently located homestay with nice view
    We had a good stay! The room was spacious and had a nice view of the tea plantations. Its conveniently located near the centre but in a calm area. The host is very kind and makes the best breakfast!
    The room felt a bit mouldy but this is probably due to the rain season. And the water pressure was not optimal. But these are small details regarding the positive things!

    First and most important lovely and helpful hosts, tasty food and amazing view from the room. So far the best room we stayed in (others in comparable budget).
    Just a minor thing since water was burning hot, but pressure could be a little higher.

    Basic room with friendly owners
    The view from your bedroom is very nice and relaxing. We were welcomed by a nice cup of tea and always had a very elaborate breakfast here. Room and bathroom were clean
    There was a bit of a moldy smell in the room, the couple in the room next to us also complained about this. But nothing too bad

    Fantastic Sri Lankan hospitality!
    We had a 2 night stay at Green Gregory. The host family went out of their way to accommodate us, even arranging for my ripped clothes to be mended! We also had excellent Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner with the host family. Breakfast will keep you full for most of the day ;) value for money unbeatable
    The property is about 40min walk to centre of town but we knew this before booking. In fact the town centre is not so nice so it was quite nice to be up on the hills in the greenery. The host family also arranged a Tuktuk driver for us. 500 rupees to the Grand Hotel from the Villa. So overall not really an issue.

    One of the best dinners we had so far in Sri Lanka!
    The place is located not too far from the city, right between tea mountains. The crisp air will make you feel wonderful and fresh, the owners couple is so incredibly kind and generous. Besides the cozy rooms, the great view and nice warm shower, we especially loved the dinner that we had one night. Amazing food and hospitality, one of the best we had in Sri Lanka so far! 100% recommend.
    Beware that during the monsoon season it can get quite cold in the area- so pack a good hoodie and youll be sorted. Nothing the owners can do anything about, the stay was 10/10.
