The breakfast was fresh and delicious, rooms were clean and the lo (Read More)cation was peaceful yet convenient. Overall, it was a great holiday experience and they are eager to return for another trip to the Lake District.

    Very relaxing and excellent hosts. A perfect base from which to tour the Lake District.
    We recently spent 2 nights at this superb guest house. The hosts were amazing and could not have been more welcoming. The rooms were cosy, very clean and gave us a beautiful view of Skiddaw. The breakfast was outstanding and all locally sourced. The location was perfect for all areas and the village had a good number of eating places, which is quite rare these days
    We would have preferred a heavier quilt and firmer pillows. However, that is just our personal preference.

    Lovely place, lovely hosts
    Warm and welcoming hosts. Good choice at breakfast which was delivered exactly on the time promised! Fab location for walks and pubs. Parking also helpful.
    Having to pick breakfast the night before because I have eyes bigger than my belly! But it did make for a very efficient breakfast which is helpful when going out walking in winter. Plus plenty of toast was offered so no worries about under ordering!

    We particularly enjoyed the excellent care of the hosts for their guests and the location, right at the centre of the most beautiful part of the Lake District.

    Had a restful relaxed stay in a beautiful location.
    Welcomed, and made to feel at home the moment we entered and throughout our stay. Hosts were very helpful with knowledge of local areas to visit and see. Our room had beautiful views with never ending changing scenery. Although near a busy road we had no problems with noise.

    Just ok lodging.
    We had parking.
    We were very disappointed as we were not walking distance to Keswick. Only three restaurants we could walk to. Very hard bed. But we were very restricted in all ways, including when we could shower, what we could order for breakfastso many rules!!
