The HF Ipanema Park hotel impressed guests with its helpful staff and beautiful rooms, although some felt they could use modernization. The rooftop bar had a lovely atmosphere but lacked drink variet (Read More)y. The breakfast selection was good and the pool was enjoyable, but some wished there was a spa. The hotel's location was convenient for taxis to the city center, but those with mobility issues may struggle with the hills and crowded pavements. Overall, guests had a pleasant stay and would book again.

Nice and helpful staff.
The water pressure in the shower was weak. What was worse, the water temperature varied. Unacceptable. The cleanliness was less than good (but probably mostly because of an underlying need for renovation). The safety deposit box was too small to be useful (couldn't fit a small laptop computer).
The breakfast included items not properly prepared.

Bar area.
Pool was too small and no sunbeds only bean bags. Too far away from the town so had to get taxis. Breakfast not ideal if you wanted cooked food like fresh eggs you had to pay extra.

Great place to have as a base for exploring a really great city.
Staff were friendly and personable. Swimming pools inside and out was good choice as well as gym area. Great breakfast. Good location easy to get into the city or to the coast for restaurants and airport. Good to stay there rather than in middle of city at the moment due to works going on with Metro system

Disappointing.
The bed was clean and comfortable.
A poor 4 star hotel/good 3 star hotel guised as a 5 star hotel. Breakfast was unappetizing and disappointing with tinned fruit and a limited selection of hot foods. Poached eggs etc all cost extra. Location is not convenient and will require a taxi to and from all of the main areas in the city.
