I have booked a room and paid well for that. But upon check-in I've been told the hotel is at its full capacity and they are giving me different room as an upgrade with a very nice view. But honestly when I went in I was surprised to see the upgrade the room was too small as compare to the one I booked and had no bath tub that I requested specifically and there was no view at all. In fact i could only see a next door multistory parking of the shopping mall. When I asked the reception staff they were unable to do anything.
Thanks for the timely intervention of Lauren the duty manger. She did her best to provide me what I paid for and booked actually.
But it was very frustrating for us as a family after a considerable travel from Dubai to RAK. To deal with the poor attitude of the staff on duty.
In general staff in the Hotel was very unfriendly. Not sure they have been over worked or stressed or dealing with overtime or long shifts but it was very disappointing for me and my family. & we were not expecting this from a brand like Hilton.
Staff in general in every department was very unfriendly and non supportive. My room had a water blockage and the water was not been draining properly and the whole toilet gets filled with water I complained multiple time but the maintenance guy just came saw it and left saying everything is alright and he will send someone from room service to clean it.
The pool side had Monster Mosquitoes that bitten my daughter in such a way that she had marks all around her body including face and now we are going through a treatment for that.
In short we are as a family highly disappointed with our experience and won't recommend this place to anyone. Even, I'm highlighting this to all my peers and connection and telling them to "DO NOT" consider it.
I'm Exhausted, Frustrated, Disappointed and very unhappy with overall experience.
