- overall, the service is lacking in many areas and makes it not worth the price nor the Hilton standards in my opinion.
- the communication between staff doesnt percolate correctly:
reception told us a manager would come to our room and they never came
I asked for mints on our private transfer back to Mahe (we had some on the public transfer), although I was assured I'd get some, I didn't get any
- the buffet were not really suited for people with allergies or dietary restrictions. I emailed before booking to ask if they could received vegan customers, they said yes. I asked to speak the food manager upon our arrival as well. They were all very concerned but in the end, we ended up eating products we shouldnt have because wrong/missing labelling:
labels were mentioning dairy most of the time, but some items that contained milk just mentioned gluten, so I ate some on the first day I learnt to ask for everything that was suspicious to me after that but it means each customer will have to do the same. We mentioned several times the labels were not complete but it doesnt seem they plan on improve them any time soon
small breads with dairy where in a basket labelled vegan and we ate some
commis chefs were unsure of what we could eat saying yes then no so we throw food away
All the eating experience was really stressful and the price was way too expensive (90 per person), considering what we could eat
- hundreds of flies in our room the first day, unable to sleep at all (ok the other days though)
- no towels at the main pool (had to ask the popcorn lady), nor at the SPA (never got any until we left)
- tank water near the main pool always empty
- tiles in the pool missing
- we never understood how to get buggys and go around the property. There werent enough. Half of them we asked never came (40 mns wait)
In short, the hotel was nice, but the level of service was nowhere near what we paid for.
