Location, fairly clean, self check in, private bathroom

I was messaged to pay through an external link on the day of arrival, otherwise my check in code wouldn't work. I don't always read messages from booking.com, so I could have missed it. I would advise sending this link a couple of days before arrival

Superb

Lovely budget accomodation in Barcelona

Hostal Nova is a wonderful small hostel-we were received by Anna with a warm welcome-the check-in and check-out process was a breeze-the room and bathroom were spotless clean and welcoming-the keys to get in and out were very easy to use and the ( free) coffee delicious-definitely our choice again when back in BCN.

The room had a blind window overlooking a wall.and the clothes hangers were child size,a bit too small for adults' items.

Hostal Nova Barcelona is a very clean and friendly place. Anna is a very pleasant, helpful and sweet lady. The bathroom sink has nice soaps for the hands, and the shower had a place (stainless steel basket) to put the body wash and shampoo, which. is unusual in Spain, at least in the hotels we stayed thru Booking.com. So, having this basic necessity was very nice. The bus stop to Barcelona Sants train station is just outside the Hostal. The other thing I want to mention is that the staff did a very good job keeping our luggage in the Hostal for about 1 week (a trip outside Spain) before we actually stayed at the Hostal.

Good enough if you have no other hostel to go in the city, but there are definitely better options

Hotel room was cleaned

1) I was charged extra 10 EUR for early check-in, however, rooms were available already. Usually hotels would just allow to check-in then and don't charge separately.

The room is clean and big, better than expected, theres self service free coffee and tea, a vending machine with reasonable price.

The room #1 has 2 windows next to a noisy street, very loud motorcycles and cars all night.

There was no one at desk accept check in. We were told free coffee, juice but nothing worked. Even the vending machine had dirty old water bottles.

Amazing hostel, very clean and tiedy. Loved the rooms and the washrooms.

The check-in was messed up by the facilitator, there was an online check-in option which he didn't pefer initially, argued for physical copy of the documents and was not accepting the digital copy and insisted to get approval documents from the nearest police station. When my friends took the option if getting the document from the police station and headed towards the police station. Half way through the facilitator requests them to come back and does the online check-in. Total waste of time, energy and ruined everyone's peace of mind.
