    Overall great
    Excellent location and friendly staff.
    Corridor noise at night. We were at the 2nd floor next to the fitness centre and vending machine so it was busier than usual.

    Good location and the Hotel is nice and staff friendly but just expected a little more from the price we paid.
    Location near Central Park West and 200 yards from Metro to downtown was good and very handy.
    Room was smaller than we would have liked and paid for and the tea/coffee facilities were just ok.

    Wonderful. Would definitely stay there again.
    It was very clean, the staff was super friendly and you cant beat that location: near the subway and 2 blocks away from Central Park.
    The heaters were a bit loud at night, but nothing that you cant sleep through.

    Not a true four star experience and zero view
    My room was a good size as I booked a king delux and there was a Keurig. The food from the attached French cafe was tasty. The staff was absolutely lovely and gracious.
    This was rated as a four star hotel yet there was no mini refrigerator in the room much less stocked minibar or snacks. Room service was provided via the restaurant next door but a number of options werent available via room service. My tea from room service me arrived in paper cup instead of its own teapot. The QR room service code left in my room was for another room so my good arrived cold when the server found the right room. They should provide directions for heat since there were a variety of panels for temperature in the room as nd one was not the main control. ZERO view of anything but buildings and other peoples windows in your face unless you rent very top floors Definitely not the type of experience I am accustomed to or expected for the price. I do typically stay right by Central Park, and didnt expect a Park Lane or EssexHouse experience but at least amenities hound in a generic chain like Grand Hyatt or Lowes. My room was sizable as I booked a delux king but not what I was hoping for at all.

    Charming and hospitable in an amazing location
    Its a beautiful building with excellent and hospitable staff. The attached restaurant is delicious and welcoming.
    There is a lot of space between the door and door jamb and it lets in light and noise. You can hear people talking conversation level in adjacent rooms. Im a light sleeper and had a time change and work schedule so this was difficult for me

    The doorman and cleaning staff were great and helpful
    This hotel should not be rated 4 stars. Its more like a 2 or 3 star hotel. Our room cost $500 - $700 a night which was overpriced and not worth it. Our room was old and rundown that needed updating, small lobby, no room service, no water provided, vending machine for water was empty and never restocked, and no ice bucket. We had the smallest room I ever stayed in for 4 people (we requested a larger room but they would not provide it), tiny bathroom, no refrigerator (our small room could not fit a frig if they tried) and terrible rude front desk customer service. Will never stay here again.

    I like the Lucerne very much.
    Location great
    Sometimes the heaters dont work or room gets cold quickly but I would call and staff very nicely resets the temperature up and that can warm up room a bit.

    Big disappointment - old and tired hotel, shocked at the Booking.com rating of 8.5, deserves less
    Cleanliness seemed OK for otherwise worn. Bellhops were friendly and generally helpful. Morning reception desk staff also helpful.
    Hotel is tired and worn with old rooms and old smells. Night staff not particularly focused on customer service. Chose hotel on basis of Booking.com rating of 8.5 - astonished at such a high rating for clearly an old hotel without much going for it. Hotel clearly in need of new investment.

    Beautiful hotel, exceptional location, pleasant atmosphere. Ill be back!
    The rooms. The lobby. The staff. Elevators were fast. Always a friendly doorman present. Perfect decor. Room service.
    I reserved two rooms and I couldnt get them on the same floor. It wouldve been unacceptable if I had little children with my group.
