I'm not booking this hotel again.

The cleanliness and the loaction

We booked a superior room but the window did not close completely so that I felt like we were sleeping on the street. No noise isolation whatsoever. I informed the hotel and after a few hours and calling multiple times about this they changed our room but this one was smaller, no balcony and a bed that was a lot smaller. The indoor sound isolation is non-existent, you even hear the other person type in the code to their safe. When checking out we asked the hotel to call us a taxi. The taxi arrived on time but scammed us. The meter on the taxi said 700lira but the taxi driver insisted that we should pay 850lira. I asked why and he just called our hotel who also started defending the taxi driver and gave excuses like the toll for the tunnel etc (we never took a tunnel). I was pretty fed up with the situation so I just paid him but contacted the hotel afterwards again and they insisted that I should just pay the taxi what they demand and that I am the problem. Be careful of these kinds of scams, just call a taxi yourself or use Uber in Istanbul.

Great, comfortable and clean place to stay in the old city

Excellent breakfast spread. Nice clean rooms. Quite a bit of space so was not so cramped. The staff were great. Cannot beat the location. Was able to walk to every place we wanted to go and tram station was only a few minutes away. Higher floors had much better views so if this is important to you ask for 4th or 5th floor rooms facing the sea.

They sprayed the rooms with some strong smelling perfume after cleaning. We did ask to not do so and was not an issues in the following days. We rented 2 rooms and one of them smelled faintly of cigarette smoke which likely previous occupant caused.

Best Hotel in Istanbul

I had a remarkable stay at this hotel. The cleanliness was exceptional, and the staff provided outstanding service. The central location in the heart of Istanbul added to the overall positive experience. Highly recommended for a memorable and comfortable stay.

The hotel menu was quite pricey but thats normal for hotels

This hotel was beautiful. Recently upgraded. Staff was friendly and helpful Room was tastefully decorated with all modern amenities Located right in the heart of old city. You could walk everywhere and subway was a bock away

Staying at Hotel Nena was an amazing experience. I have been more than 10 times in Istanbul, but I can honestly say this was the best hotel i've stayed in. Starting with the perfect location, just 1 minute walking to Sultanahmet and ending with the fact that the hotel is incredibly clean. Our room was cleaned every day, the towels changed, even though we didn't ask. Amenities and water supply was filled as well every day. So a big thank you to the cleaning staff. Also to the guys at the reception who always greeted us with a smile and made us feel really welcome. The breakfast was really good in our opinion, with many options every day. The beds and pillows were comfortable, so we could rest after the days of exploring wonderful Istanbul. Thank you again, Hotel Nena!
