    The Hotel Northland, Autograph Collection has a retro feel and spacious rooms with great amenities. While the service was lacking and some service requests were not fulfilled, overall it was a great (Read More)experience. The nearby activities and walkability are excellent, with restaurants, shops, and the Fox River trail within walking distance. The food options at Poke the Bear and The Walnut Room were great. The hotel has a historic and romantic atmosphere, and the staff is friendly. Some areas had a musty odor, but it is a minor complaint compared to the attentive staff and comfortable rooms.

    Deceptive advertisement for the facility. You will not get what they show to sell you.
    It's a beautiful hotel. The very little room was quaint.
    Not even close to what your displaying on line. I even questioned the front desk to verify we had the correct room. I was told "she believed so". But she couldn't do anything because of going thru Booking.com. I way over paid for this stay. VERY DISAPPOINTED! The pics below show how beautiful the rooms are. However, they show you a suite in the pictures when you book. This is actually what you are paying for. Not what's displayed on this site. Hyatt a block away has much larger rooms for less. Don't make the mistake of booking with this hotel unless you verify what your paying for is accurate.

    Worst experience ever!
    I was triple charged! It has been 2 months this hotel is still holding my money!!! I called the front desk as I forgot to add this stay to my Marriott membership when I was checking out, and the staff said sure, no problem, in a minute. Now its still not in my account. Anyone wants to book this hotel, give a second thought!

    Couldn't get even an "hour late" checkout.

    Nice enough hotel in a cool old building
    Cool old building with great location steps from downtown.
    Only complaint is a Large HVAC unit right outside our room that was loud. Be careful of the interior facing rooms!
