After checking in, as I was about to lie on the bed, I noticed stains on the bed sheets. I took photos to confirm they werent ours and called housekeeping. They immediately changed the sheets, but when I tried to open the windows an hour later, I found dirty curtains. I had to let it pass because I didnt want to deal with any other problems, especially since I wasnt feeling well that day, and we stayed in our room for the next 2 days.
On our last day, my partner noticed a mug with dried-out milk, and the area on the magnifying mirror was really dirty, which obviously means the room wasnt generally cleaned before we checked in. Worse, during checkout, they claimed we consumed 2 cans of beer we didnt. This stay was a thoroughly disappointing experience!
I initially wanted to let the cleanliness issue pass and not want to deal with complaints during Christmas as we were about to checkout. However, my patience was tested when they falsely claimed we consumed the beer in the fridge and replaced it with a different printing than what they initially said. My partner explained at the front desk that we didnt consume anything from the fridge but had taken items out temporarily due to limited space. They were calling someone over the phone, got back to my partner, but I lost my patience and confronted the receptionist, asking how their system determined we allegedly consumed the beer. Despite complaining about the cleanliness issue, they could only apologize.
They then mentioned it was a system fault about the beer without providing an explanation of what really happened. I was really mad, telling them we would pay for the items if we consumed them, but we didnt. It was a terrible experience. If I hadnt complained, asked about their system, and almost made a scene, would they have forced us to pay, considering they still had our security deposit? Never again will I book from this hotel, and I will never recommend it to anybody.
