Bed was uncomfortable and the facility sticks to 1900 hotel feel but it felt cheap and run down a bit.... no ghost experience like I had heard about.

Disappointing.
I did like the old-time America theme. I liked the location: near the bus stop, 20 minute walk into historic Fredericksburg and being very near the Rappahannock River trail.
Only small towels - not big enough to wrap around yourself after a shower. Very basic breakfast - muffins, cakes, oats, fruit, coffee.
The smoke alarm beeped all through the night. We reported it, but still beeped the following day. We booked a deluxe room, but were put in a basic room with the room rate being much less than we had paid. We were told that Booking.com always charge more for the rooms. This hasn't been the case with other bookings and made me feel that we had been taken advantage of. Won't be going back. Windows had Venetian blinds which let light in from early morning.

The price was a great value and we enjoyed location.
Breakfast was very basic. It would have been nice to have had more protein choices.
Our room was sufficient but small. Im not sure we had a queen bed as requested. We were assigned to second floor rather than first. We wish we could have controlled air temp.
