We booked a superior category room i.e. "Jagat Lake facing suit" where we stayed during Dec 2023 for 3 nights, it was one of the top-end rooms of this hotel and the most expensive too due to the season. But to be very honest this hotel was not even close to my expectations due to the following reasons:
1. Late Check-in: We reached the hotel at 2 PM and waited till 2:45 PM in the lobby only because our room was not ready.
2. The moment we entered our room we saw several stain marks here and there and it was evident that the room-service staff were in haste while doing their job. (Pics attached) Reason: The understaffed department had a lot of work to do, but they are good people to deal with.
3. The restaurant staff was very slow and it was not their fault at all. I talked to one of the staff members and he told me that they are highly understaffed and due to a lack of management and cost-cutting activities the hotel is not so keen on keeping more people.
4. Overall top management of the hotel was not good and after having conversations with a few more people, I got to know that none of the management people is actually a graduate hotel management professional. They are just local people managing the hotel and due to this unprofessionalism was clearly reflecting in their problem-handling skills.
