Vikram is an excellent host and was very helpful during our stay. His family live there still and are all friendly and each are talented artisans. Vikram makes his own beautiful jewellery and his wife has her own line of clothing and linens. The Haveli is a beautiful old building in the heart of Johari Bazaar. If you're coming from the airport or train station, you will need a tuk tuk to get right to the front gate as the streets are ancient and therefore narrow that modern vehicles can't fit through. Our car parked on the main road and the Haveli staff were waiting there to escort us and carry our luggage to the Haveli for us. Breakfast is vegetarian, very tasty and they are generous with servings. Lunch and dinner are also available for a fee, and I would recommend it as dining downstairs in the Haveli is a lovely experience, with seating available in the open air courtyard, surrounded by beautiful painted murals on the walls. Our room was small, but comfortable and the bathroom was lush. The beautiful bed linens are designed by Vikram's wife. I wish we could have stayed longer, but if we are ever in Jaipur again, I would happily stay here again without hesitation. It was great value for money. Sonny is the resident tuk tuk driver and he was extremely helpful in bringing us shopping out of the bazaar to get some jewellery that I needed to wear for a wedding later that week. We were wary of going with him at first as we had unpleasant experiences in other cities of being taken to shops and showrooms where they tried to sell us low quality goods at very inflated prices. But Sonny delivered and was trustworthy.
