EN:This establishment stinks. The hallway carpet reeks of mold, and the smell permeates into the room. If you have allergies, stay away. If you don't have allergies, still stay away, as you might acquire them. The floor is dirty. I took off my shoes next to the bed, walked about 15 steps barefoot to the bathroom, and when I wet my feet, black liquid came off. I had booked 2 nights, and on the first night, my wife had trouble breathing due to the strong mold odor coming from the hallway carpet. She spent almost the entire night in the car in the parking lot. The next day, I requested an early checkout and a refund for the unused night, but the General Manager refused to refund. Absurd, considering the establishment was causing health issues for my wife, it was not an unreasonable request. This place is far from being a hotel, but very close to being a pigsty. They should rename this place to 'De Quinta' (translates to 'From Thursday' in English, suggesting low quality).
The General Manager will probably respond here claiming they tried to offer a room change or something similar, which is what they said when I responded to the survey I received from the 'De Quinta' network. If they say that, it's a lie. When I went to the reception to check out, they offered me nothing. The lady there (Brazilian) acted as if the problem I experienced was unheard of, but if you look at other reviews, you'll see that more people have reported the same issue. Unfortunately, I didn't pay attention to this before. The general manager is rude, lacks empathy, and doesn't respect or understand the plight of others.
Avoid this place. If you've already booked, cancel and go somewhere else. There are much better options with similar prices.
