Low Wood Bay

Some parts of the hotel are a bit tired/in need of cleaning/refurbishment. When we first checked in we went up to our room and it had not been cleaned from the previous residents. All fixed quickly and were given a new room. The pool is only available to hotel residents at certain times, which means it is packed at those times and using the jacuzzi was not possible as there was a party of people who were in it for the whole time we were there. I didnt receive a copy of my bill at check out (realise I should have asked for one but at the time I just paid it). It was almost 400 (just for meals/drinks and probably about right for our 3 night stay) but I would have thought it would be standard to provide a copy before asking me to pay. Not sure what the hotel would be able to do about it but there were a couple of large parties staying that were really loud and pretty annoying when you just want a quiet drink in the bar.

Hello, please direct me to the right place if this isnt where it should land but unfortunately Id like to share some negative feedback about my recent stay. Firstly I pride myself in not being one of these moaners but for the price I paid what I receive wasnt anywhere up to standards. I have previously stayed at the low wood and had no issues but I stayed with you on Sunday 17th December for one night in a hazel lake view room. Number 274 When I arrived at 1:30pm I asked if I could pay for an upgrade and reception didnt understand what I was asking and repeatedly told me (4/5 times between 1:30 - 3pm) that the room will be ready shortly. Understanding that the room check in was 3pm I was fine with this however it became very annoying being told multiple times it will be ready in 5 mins, 10 mins etc etc. we would have rather just been told it will be ready at 3pm. We got to the room and cleaning materials had been left in there, 5 minutes later a cleaner came in unannounced. Luckily we had only just got in the room so handt unpacked yet. Seemed a bit unprofessional. The shower room was like a death trap. The floor was constantly left wet and not enough towels to clear up to avoid slipping. The air con also didnt seem to work at all. I have a similar unit at home so know how to use it. I believe we paid for breakfast and wasnt offered this but thats by the by. I was then shocked to see a 12 fee taken off my card at reception despite having checked out on time and having to car on site. Reception team seemed to make up a story that didnt match up. I take it this has been refunded? Again lovely place it really is, this visit was just not up to standard.
