One night there was loud noise from room next door, it was difficult to sleep. We could hear the volume of a tv through the walls. I
contacted reception and they contacted the room. I would have liked a discount.

Great position .. nice view of the ocean from room but spa Maris hotel rooms of same category much better..breakfast was excellent ..the staff at breakfast were very helpful and kind and room attendants are very thorough.. very clean hotel.
Room seemed very basic ..The bath had a fixed glass splash partition which meant to reach the taps you had to get in the bath to turn on the taps .. very bad awkward design.Also reception was poorly manned or managed .. leave yourself plenty of time for check out.

Good location but too expensive for what you get.
Very nice location at walking distance of the city centre and the beach. Beds & pillows are very comfortable. Good, darkening curtains. On the beach side it is very quiet and has a calming view but only a little bit of sun in the morning. Probably nice at hot summertime but otherwise I would choose the harbor side to enjoy some afternoon sun! We wanted to change to the other side but that was not possible. The breakfast is extensive and also offers healthy choices (on the spot made omelette with veggies, lots of fresh fruits) but the cappuccino is horrible and the room is more like a noisy canteen. We preferred having our Spanish breakfast at a terras at the beach. Public underground parking across the hotel is convenient.

The rooms are not cosy and very basic. Our junior suite is actually two rooms with connecting door and two little balconies and two basic bathrooms. We had a family with kids upstairs and you could clearly hear them walking/running around as also people who walked in the hallways and the doors closing. Also beware that there are construction works going on at one end of the hotel. There is no nice 'pleasant' location/terrass at the hotel to sit and read a book or have a drink in the sun (unless you book the 'Level').

The receptionists were very kind. The hotel have perfect location that is close to the city center and the same time is quite. The room is very good size, warm and quite. Very clean also. Our room had a good view of the harbor. The bed was big, matress and pillow was comfortable. We slept really very well. Breakfast is good and a restaurant have a gorgeous view over the beach and the sea.

I have applied for a refund after poor service at the Melisa Alicante. They agreed to send monies back to the card that was supposedly used to book room. This information is INCORRECT.

Breakfast was sparse and not as good as a sister property I previously stayed. Bar area was not functional in the main. I was very impressed with the staff especially Amal who was always smiling and ready to help
Breakfast could be better. Bar area can be more inviting and staffed. Perhaps put a TV in there to attract guests to use the space
