The Hotel Alicante Gran Sol has spacious and clean rooms, but the bed may be too hard for some. One elevator was out of service during the stay, causing minor inconveniences. The reception and check- (Read More)in staff are friendly and helpful, while the bar staff are less so. Breakfast is included and offers a good range of options. The hotel has a great central location, but is difficult to find and lacks onsite parking. The top bar provides amazing views and cocktails. The rooms are generous and well-maintained, although the thin walls can be bothersome with noisy neighbors. Overall, it is a great choice, with friendly staff and a delicious breakfast. Nearby attractions include Santa Barbara castle and the marina.

Enjoyable stay.

The breakfast was amazing. Huge variety. Friendly staff.

Room was very small. Location central near shopping and restaurants but a challenge for parking when being picked up.

Excellent short break with so much to do around, excellent food, drink and socialising opportunities

The location was excellent, the staff were very attentive and gave great service. They had great use of English language and able to help with lots of questions.

On the approach the outside the building is very dated, looks run down and first impression is not great. When you you get close and on entering this is soon forgotten the modern make over is fabulous

Excellent location, beds were comfortable, breakfast was nice. Room cleaning service was brilliant.

Unfortunately bathrooms very cramped and smell from the pipes. Lift was very noisy. This is really a 3 star hotel, the hotel doesn't justify the rates charged.

Perfect location . Helpful and friendly staff .

The staff on reception were excellent . When I arrived I was greeted with a friendly smile from the guy on reception . Check in was seamless and was handled efficiently . To use the lift you had to activate it with your room card . I thought that this was a good security feature. Room was very clean and comfortable . Hotel was located right in the centre of Alicante . Perfect location . The restaurant on the 26th floor was amazing . The hotel is the tallest building in Alicante and the views from the restaurant are stunning . I was there at Christmas and despite the restaurant being full to capacity , the waiting staff were very attentive to me considering the enormous pressure that they were under . Very helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommended . Breakfast was well organised in respect of seating arrangements and the large volume of people passing through . Food choices were varied and satisfying . Communication was good with English spoken .
