Location, location, location. The hotel is situated in the best area, close to shops, cafes, beaches, chemists and basically anything you need. You can even get all to Bondi which takes about 40 minutes. The room was spacious and had all the amenities for an apartment.
The level of security was surprisingly low. I was shocked that anyone can access the hotel, including all the facilities. On numerous occasions I observed kids using the swimming pool and sauna in tower 2 because anyone can access the public lift. I definitely made sure our door was closed/locked overnight as it didnt make you feel safe. One of the main reasons I booked the hotel was to use the sauna. Very disappointing experience because it was not hot at all, pointless really. Additionally, our air conditioner stopped working the first night and never came back on so it was hot in the room.I asked to be moved but there were no other rooms available. I understand it was a busy time but I find it pretty poor service when I paid $720 for two nights.

Lovely big apartment, a great view from the balcony in a handy location.
Great location to Westfield and the train station.
Good sized apartment with everything required. Lovely big bathtub.
Amazing view from the balcony.
Confusing set up. Have to take two separate lifts to get in and out of property. Apartments are across several different towers.
Didnt appreciate the housekeeping telling me I should have already checked out at 9.25am.

Not worth paying top dollar for the bottom end of comfort.
Being close to the shops.
The bed and couch were both extremely uncomfortable and we woke up with aching backs and necks every morning. The sauna was out of order the whole time and the spa didnt work for the second half of our stay. The TVs didnt have regular tv or netflix etc and we had to constantly connect to our phones which was a headache and I dont recall having to do this the last time I stayed a few years ago. It felt very backward. Overall it was an underwhelming and VERY disappointing experience. Worst Meriton Ive stayed in so far.

Very convenient location next to large shopping centre with many food options. Many and frequent buses to get to Bondi beach which was very close by. Room was huge and very clean, well stocked. Bed was extremely comfortable.
Reception area was bright and clean but did not have a hotel feel (no bar or restaurant on the same level)
Use of cleaning chemicals that are effective against Coronavirus, Guest accommodation is disinfected between stays, Linens, towels and laundry washed in accordance with local authority guidelines, Property is cleaned by professional cleaning companies, Guests have the option to cancel any cleaning services for their accommodation during their stay.
