The spacious rooms have a Nespres (Read More)so machine and turn down service with a night drink. The breakfast options are great and can be enjoyed with a view. The hotel has a nice pool and is located very close to the beach. It is worth the additional cost and is recommended as a safe and lovely place to stay.

    This place is magical!
    We stayed in this wonderful accommodation for two nights at the beginning of December. And what can I say? During our entire tour of South Africa, this was one of our best accommodations. And I'm not exaggerating. We felt incredibly comfortable from the second we arrived. We had the Sugarbird room and the view of the sea left us speechless. We even saw whales from our balcony. The room was also large, extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. The Internet also worked perfectly - we have had completely different experiences in other hotels in South Africa. In the evening we had a "nightcap" in our room. What a great idea! The breakfast was also very tasty and all the staff were very friendly. You can walk to a breathtaking beach in about 5 minutes and to Hermanus by car in about 10 minutes. There are also restaurants within walking distance. We give the accommodation an unreserved 10/10 and will definitely be back. I can more than recommend it.

    We had a very good time in a beautiful place and will definately stay there again.
    The room is big and comfortable, very nice bathroom, very good breakfast, beautiful seaview and very quiet
    They only need to get better plugs to charge phones, watches, i pads

    Southern right suite is fantastic!!!
    The hotel is in a beautiful position and the southern right suite is fantastic with perfect sea views! We only stayed one night and that was our biggest regret. Easily could of enjoyed another 2 nights. The room is huge. The fireplace a nice touch.The bathroom impressive. The view from the large window was perfect for whale watching. The breakfast was fantastic. Staff great. Everything was perfect!!

    Fantastic location with amazing room from which you can see the whales
    Had no water during our stay and had to keep asking staff to fill up buckets for toilet. As much as the floods were unfortunate, the hotel should gear itself towards these sort of incidents

    we loved it...just a few little things that could make it even better
    The location is amazing and the size of the room that we had was vast....breakfast was excellent and the staff very,very helpful
    the mattress was very soft (almost collapsing)and memory foam so very hot...it would be good to know the loadshedding times every day...whilst there is back up for the basic lights etc guests should know when they cannot use the kettle, hairdryer etc

    Spectacular accommodation, perfect whale spotting location and excellent hospitality
    Visiting during the winter season we can imagine how wonderful it would be here in the hot summer. Now we enjoyed the roaring fire in the guest sitting room and lovely views of the sea and Grotto Beach. Our room was superb and we even woke up to whales splashing in the sea right outside our balcony. Breakfast was delicious too
    The room was a bit chilly but it wasnt the hotels fault as Loadshedding meant that all electricity went off for a couple of hours as did the heating
