The service, bed and bathroom were excellent all staff were very friendly and helpful. It's a nice designed restaurant. Location is great!
I only had one towel by arrival in my room. I expected big towel at shower and smaller one at sink. Like in all 4 or 5 star hotels, they have great fluffy duvets. For me that's to hot if you can only chill the room to 21 degrees celcius. So didn't sleep to well.
In the room service menu they offered a Hamburger, but it was not possible to get the same Hamburger in one of the restaurants, which is for me a bit weird.

Great Hotel Near Galle Face
The room was spacious, and meticulously kept clean and pristine by the staff. It had a great view of the bay.
The rooftop bar was also great, had reasonably priced food and drinks. The view of the city skyline from the rooftop was also spectacular.
Finally, the staff! From the doormen, the front desk personnel, housekeeping and most especially to the Guest Services Manager DINESH, all of them have been very accommodating and helpful. Dinesh even before we checked in was already making sure our stay will be wonderful. He even had a to-go-breakfast prepared for us when we had to leave early (before breakfast at the restaurant opened) for a Safari Tour at Udawalawe. We felt very well taken cared of during our stay.

We had a difficult time looking for convenience stores near the hotel, were we could buy supplies. But this is not a major issue.

It was good, and also good for the money, but not up to a five-star standard
Overall this is a good hotel that we were able to get for a good price. The room was clean and nice, the buffet was very good as well.
We arrived a couple hours before check-in and were informed that our room was not ready but that if we bought an upgrade for USD 25 per day we could check in right away. We declined and they checked us into our room right away anyway. Seems like someone thought of a sneaky way to make some extra money but a perhaps unforseen result was that we immediately felt that we were in the middle of scammy, rip-offy situation, which really is not appropriate for a five-star hotel. The hotel will arrange cars for you, sometimes without informing you of the price; the price will be 8-10 times the price you would pay if you arranged the car through Uber. Some surcharge is reasonable, but this is terrible and another rip off. Yoga room was very dirty. We ordered room service and they included two bottles of water that we did not request and added them to the bill. The hotel provides free water bottles to the room, so this was another little rip-off. At the buffet, they do not provide any sort of water for free. You have to order and pay extra for it. We ended up bringing some of the free water from our room: stupid. Porous stone around the toilet in the bathroom was stained with who knows what. Feces? Blood? Yuck. Light switches in the room were arranged in an insane manner, as is normal for Sri Lanka. Shower in room had just one small soap tray. Had to put most of our shampoo and such on the floor.
