I didnt enjoy my stay

The staff.
I called the hotel 15 minutes before arrival to confirm the amount to pay for my reservation in my currency and they told me what Ill pay when I arrive. Getting to the checkin counter a higher rate was given to me, I complained about it and all the receptionist Eyo Bassey could say was for me to cancel my reservation and go somewhere else if I cant afford it. After waiting for a while to be attended to. She said this repeatedly.
Checking out, someone different attended to me. He told me the hotel had to balance me and made me sign a document to that effect. I got confused and told him I didnt make any extra deposit while checking in as I only complained about being overcharged. Long story short the receptionist collected the document and never refunded the balance. I dont think its a coincidence the balance happens to be the difference I complained about being overcharged for when checking in.
Anyways, a whole lot of confusion going on between the staff they need to be well trained on how to handle their duties.

Everything was spot on as it should be, maybe HD channels on TV and less power switching as the power went out a lot and wasn't a seamless switch

The buffet was good, the room was clean as expected as it is a Accor brand
On the 25 November I made a payment for my buffet as it was my wedding day, I was give 4 pos to make payment and the first 3 did not work so I was given a 4 pos only to find out the POS system took payment and the transaction was revised back, but as of today the payment is not back in my account.
The reception manager told me if I don't make payment the security would not allow me out of the hotel I was so shocked of the words. The staffs kept on calling at 10pm and 12pm asking for payment as they need to close their account for the day. I had to call my uncle to make payment for me.
My stay was horrible I will never go back to Movenpick hotel Ikoyi

Just the location
Rooms are very small and breakfast menu is limited and mainly local food which is not good for foreigners. The room charges are very high and they use very high exchange rate so we end up paying more than what Booking offered us.

Nice Hotel in great location
The hospitality was beyond exceptional and the rooms were very nice clean and neat Hotel staff was very nice and friendly as well, I would definitely recommend this hotel especially for anyone traveling from the United States just like i did that's looking for a nice place to rest up. I will definitely be returning back to this hotel indefinite.
Some of the food tasted like it had freezer burn especially the chicken in the egusi soup it tasted old but over all everything else was good.
