Family Holiday
Absolutely love this resort. Half of the resort is in construction at the moment but this didn't bother us at all. Construction was in the back building. Staff were incredible and help with anything we needed. Organising all our activities, local info. Quick 20 min walk to town or 5 min drive. The view was spectacular. Will definitely stay again. Thank you Queenstown Shores

Excellent stay but bit disappointed with the refurbishing going on.
The room, the view, the room facilities were excellent, top notch. The lake Wakatipu view from level 3 where we stayed was picture perfect. Spacious room. We had a 2 bedroom apartment. Full kitchen. Two bedroom/bathroom. Balcony. Excellent.
The only eye sore was the entrance since they were constructing/refurbishing one of the block. The entrance was as if we are entering a construction site. No ambience at all as you would expect for a 4 star resort. They could have mentioned this in the information. "The property is refurbishing the interior and the exterior" is an understatement. Bit pricey after this inconvenience. Scale down the rate a bit.

No airco in the midst of summer. At the price range the accommodation was offered -> Paying over 2500 NZD for 4 nights. So Price quality ratio was disappointing. . Spoke to many guests that shared this opinion.

Everything, great staff fab location and most beautiful property.
We drove past the property first time as the front is covered with tarpaulin and scaffolding, we thought it was closed. Thankfully it was not and beyond the scaffolding is a most excellent place!

Highly recommended and one of the place to stay if you are in Queenstown.
Amazing Property and staffs are excellent, helpful. i would highly recommend this property. Everything is new and renovated. cleaning is done well.
Just a little too far to walk from Center of the town. Apart from that, this is excellent.

Place was clean
-booked a 3bedroom for 2night stay. So 1x 2bedroom apt plus 1x 1bedroom adjoining room.
The 1 bedroom apt was suffocating, smell of paint was too strong. We were unable to use that room.
The 2bedroom apt, aircon was not working. It was blowing air but doesnt get cold. Set it up to 16degrees but room temp as per room thermometer was 24 to 27 degrees.
Called the reception to chek. Night duty reception was very dismissive and defensive stating thats normal for the aircon and it is working coz fan was blowing,even stated aircons safety net temp only goes 20 to 21degrees. Doesnt get colder than that. Told him to compare it to the other 1bedroom which was 16deg cold. But insisted that no it was working and no reason to change room. Also said room was newly renovated they cant do anything abt the paint. And aircon is new so it is working.
Very dismissive and defensive.
Told him we are requesting to change room said theres no reason to change rooms as not a valid claim. Told him we will transfer hotel despite the time that its almost midnight if he can give us refund, said no also.
-complained to the morning staff, she cheked her system and said your room temp says 24degrees so it is working.and it is new so shouldnt be broken. But will chek with maintenance. Said it will come at 10am.
-we waited by 10, followed it up by 1030. Said they will come whenever they can. 11am. No news so we left for the day. Didnt hear anything from them.
-came back that night no news still and aircon not resolved.
-nextday chekout, reception said oh you had aproblem with aircon will give you 10% discount. I needed to ask what the maintainance said- and they admitted it was broken hence the compensation. I told her we werent able to use the pther room also due to strong paint smell and 2 of us slept on the couch of the hot room. So increase it to 15% discount for 2 nights.
Very disappointing. Its the staffs dismissive and defensive reaction that pissed me off.

The property has great view and good location
The construction site is just next to our room, which is impacting our Lakeview. And carpark is extremely inconvenient due to the construction, it took longer than normal to drive in and drive out. I would not choose the property if I know the property is under construction/ renovation.

This hotel has potential but has a lot of improvements to make. Unfortunately I would recommend staying here.
Pros were that the room was big, nice views of the lake and mountains, and close to the city center.
Cons were: 1. My room smelled like cigarettes 2. The rooms in the block I was in didnt have AC and I wasnt informed during check in. They said to keep the door open and use the fan but the room was still warm. 3. A lot of construction going on so people going in and out. Luckily I didnt hear anything from my room. 4. Parking garage is tight and limited. 5. Walls are paper thin and you can hear neighbors conversation esp with the balcony door open. 6. King bed was actually two twins together so couldnt sleep in the middle.
