Loved how secluded it was, close to the bustling Bangla/Patong areas but far enough to not be a nuisance.
Loved how cooperative and helpful the staff were despite being the busiest time of the year.
LOVED the spa.

Wide spaces and full of activities.
Friendly charm all over
The constant barrage of christmas music was annoying, especially at 22:00 in the evening
Loud clattering noises under our room (we were in 2319) as one of the food spots was under our room (went well into midnight)
Breakfast buffet was definitely not the best

The pools and restaurants. Happy hour at the Rum Shack bar. Snorkelling,. Private beach so it's not busy.Very friendly staff.

Superb
Enjoyable stay
This property is located at the quiet Merlin Beach, which is a short drive from hustle bustle at Patong. Plenty of facilities / activities available, eg snorkeling, kayaking, table tennis. There is a kids club which offers activities and games for the children whole day long. Good selection of restaurants if we choose to dine within the property.

Great experience but a tad expensive
Lovely service with good food and a lovely vibe. Staff were very polite and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and cater to our requests.
Rooms were nice and well appointed but not luxurious enough for the price that was charged.

Perfect getaway in Thailand ! Far from party and loudly tourists
We stayed one week in this hotel with the all inclusive package, which I recommend. All was ok. A special thanks to Matt from the Beach grill restaurant for his professionalism, proactive attitude and kindness and Nina from the Rum Shack for her smile, her dedication and her kindness.
The spa was always fully booked unfortunately, it will be bigger to have more staff/space

FRAUD
The beach is nice in terms of coral reef directly in front of the hotel. Breakfast is very good. Everyday there are some new dishes. Ittasty.
There is a FRAUD in the hotel. It is a well known chain, but that does not mean anything in this case. I was there alone and the staff counted three times double breakfast and dinner. In the end it was just a simple "sorry" but nobody from the management was surprised. On the first day of my stay, they blocked the amount of money for the room and some additional deposit for my stay. On the day of my check out, everything was all right and I left the hotel. Two days later, I was charged for the room + deposit again. It had been already a month since my stay there. My money is till blocked, the hotel just ignores all my emails and contact form messages. So, in fact I pays for the room two times. So guy Joao Ferreira answered me that they already unblocked my money. And on my request to provide any evidence of that, there is just ignorance from the hotel. I tried to contact other email on different Marriott websides I could find. All I got back is "We forwarded you message to the responsible team". Four weeks later, my money is still blocked and nobody cares. Probably they all went for a holiday spending my money...

A definitely must stay hotel for families. Its simply so memorable, fun and relaxing. You wont regret.
The staffs were so friendly and helpful.
The hotel room was beautiful, spacious and clean.
The kids club had a lot of fun activities for the kids, staffs were all so friendly and engaging.
The gym was awesome. Love the cold face towel ready for the gym user. It had a great lemongrass smell which was so good & refreshing.
Theres so many fun activities all around the hotel available for us to enjoy play for free.
Even the beach is so beautiful. Definitely not for you to swim, but a slow walk along the corals are just so amazing.
Not forgetting the full board meal, No Regrets!!
Its simply so relaxing and a fun retreat for my family and I.

Nothing at all. Maybe its location which is a little
secluded. Then again, everything available in the hotel. You dont feel like leaving the place at all.
Another thing, the price is a little at the high end. Yet its worth the money to spend.
