    Welcoming friendly good base for a couple of nights visiting Vellore
    Very welcoming staff. Reception manager Raj had rung me earlier to confirm time of arrival. He also suggested timings to visit the Golden Temple and arranged a taxi for us. He also kindly went way above expectation and assisted us on the day of departure when we had our bus cancelled the night before rebooked then received multiple confusing texts! He also rang us later to make sure we had got on the bus ok. Breakfast was well catered for all residents. Fruit platter in room on arrival nice touch.
    There was an issue with the cleaning however when escalated this was promptly dealt with satisfactorily. No hairdryer in the room ( but I didnt ask reception for one so it wasnt an issue). Fragrant drains intermittently in the bathroom

    Looks like maintenance is not efficient. Renovation is due.
    Buffett breakfast was lavish with an extensive spread of dishes. Room was spacious, had sufficient luggage space and shelves. Tea kettle, all possible toiletries and a safe deposit vault provided. TV had plenty of channels for free watching. Neat bed linen and bath towels.
    Bath room tiles faded. In some bath rooms floor tiles were painted to mask faded tiles. Bath room fittings not in working condition. Water flows in hand shower and tap simultaneously. Shower head corroded. Water pressure in tap low. Room floor tiles are very old and look gloomy.

    We had a great time as we were there for leisure and the hotel was nice and the staff courteous.
    The breakfast was sumptous with local food being the main focus. Coffee was exceptionally great!! Very enjoyable breakfast setting, everything as you would like it. The Menu was also slightly different for different days. Really enjoyed.
