    STRONG Bacon Smell
    The room was big with nice decoration, beautiful windows and it was very clean. In general all the staff were friendly, speciallybthe manager and Chef. Unfortunately the bacon smell and lack of exhaustion ruined the stay. Therefore it's impossible give a good review. My girl liked very much the Benedict Eggs. Good breakfast.
    At 8.am we woke up with bacon smell entering in our noses and clothes. Really dissapointing. Unfortunately all the experience was marked by the bacon smell that last all the stay - 3 days. We were told that exhaustion was not working and it would be fiixed. We hope it will be fixed soon because this can really destroy the experience. (All the clothes were bacon smelling even when we arrived home.)

    Fabulous stay
    Everything is always fabulous at The Rowntree. We are never disappointed when we stay. The breakfast is cracking and generous size. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly.

    Lovely small hotel!
    Great location. Superior room was nicely decorated with period furniture. Comfy bed and good quality linen. Super clean bathroom and towels. Excellent breakfast, cooked to order so fresh and hot. Great coffee, unlike many places I stay in! Friendly, helpful staff. Keep it up!
    All good. Parking could be a problem in high season, maybe.

    Good value, clean comfortable room and great location with helpful staff.
    Good location and comfortable room. Booked for my son who was joining us for Christmas. Easy check in and when I wanted to book an extra night at short notice the staff were very responsive and accommodating.

    Ideal for the Scarborough Spa
    I booked mostly because it was close to the Scarborough Spa, where we were attending a gig. Our room (3) was extremely spacious, with a lovely shower room. Breakfast was very nice.

    Fab location! Went to see Jake bugg At Scarborough spa and was only a 10 minute walk, loads of little restaurants about will deffo be back
    Room was slightly cold, couldnt work out the heating but it is December so cant moan!
