I booked a room really late as was on a camping road trip but got very cold and rainy. Hosts Sandra and John were so generous in accepting my reservation at very short notice. Budget price but facilities were second to none with everything you could ask for in the comfy, spacious room including en suite shower/toilet, microwave, kettle with complimentary tea and coffee (so needed after a cold day birdwatching on some cliffs!), fridge with drinks and snacks if needed, super clean, comfy large bed, TV and wifi. I did not have breakfast though I have no doubt it would have been every bit as wonderful as the room. I would have no hesitation in recommending this guest house for anyone looking for a base to explore the wider region. It was about 10 miles from where I was visiting - RSPB Troup Head and fishing villages on Banffshire coast - but I didn't mind the extra few miles for such a warm and welcoming rest place. Next day, travel to Newburgh and other attractions on Peterhead side of coast were within easy reach by car. Hope to return in the not to distant future as perfect accommodation and an area well-worth exploring much more.
