    In general is a cute hotel , but if you expect European standards you will be disappointed .
    Thomas is a very nice and helpful person ! He really makes you feel at home . The restaurant is really super good , amazing food !!!
    Rooms are ok. The bed is really comfortable but the bathroom has a plastic door and most important has no window ! The shower is open so when you take a shower you fload the entire bathroom. Also the room has a window that you cant really open and is facing a staircase . I know that hotels in Mal are unreasonably expensive , but honestly for what we paid I expected more . I really recommend it to go for dinner though!

    Amazing staff and beautiful location with clean and quiet room. Definitely worth trying the delicious Thai restaurant at the ground floor of the hotel.

    Would highly recommend- especially as a quick stopover
    A quiet little hidden gem in the middle of a crazy busy city. Rooms were clean and had everything necessary. The best part by far was the host Rose who was so very pleasant and truly took care of EVERYTHING. They had someone waiting for us at the airport to transport us to hotel- complimentary. Breakfast was included and since we needed to leave early, Rose prepared us fresh fruit, yogurt and coffee at 6 am and then arranged for the taxi back to airport (also included!) The restaurant at the hotel was beautiful and delicious.
    The only thing to say is that it is not a modern, standard hotel. But why would you want that in the Maldives? It was clean, charming, quiet and comfortable with everything we needed.

    Excellent stay at a boutique hotel - near to the local fish market
    We arrived late at Male, so thought we would stay in the city for the night rather than take the boat directly to our resort. We booked Sala Boutique Hotel due to good reviews from TripAdvisor. We were not disappointed. The pick up at the airport was smooth and we were at the Hotel in no time. Check in was great, Rose was very polite and helpful, even at that time of the night. Overall, the room was clean and had all the basic amenities. The bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was excellent!
    The aircon was a bit cold and it was located right opposite the bed, so we had it blown at our faces during the night. It was not really that bothersome but the location of the aircon could be improved. But then we slept well, nevertheless!

    A perfect stop when travelling through Male, and certainly worth a visit for a great Thai meal.
    Cute little hotel attached to the restaurant. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom. Highlight of the stay was by far the restaurant. A wonderful meal in a beautiful courtyard.

    Sala boutique hotel is so cozy!!! Really a gem in the heart of Male. Staff is super nice and everything, and I mean everything, went smoothly! Hotel owner Thomas was so nice!! And the Sala thai restaurant in the hotel is to die for, food was delicious!!!! Highly recommended!
    This is not hotels fault, but if you dont know the islam culture you should know that every morning around 5am the prayer songs begin, very loudly, and you will wake up without earplugs.

    The breakfast and location were the highlights. The owner really went to a lot of effort to ensure my dietary needs were catered to. The selection was great and quality excellent.
    Less incense/oil lamps could have been burnt - sometimes the smell was a bit overpowering.
