- The rooms had outdated style and furniture. Definitely overdue for renovation work!
- Too many spiders and geckos inside the room. Although this is a general issue to most hotels, it was more marked compared to other resorts we stayed at during our trip.
- The bathroom had a number of Issues:
1- Drainage problems in the bathtub
2- Lack of bidet shower which may be relevant to some guests.
- We had one single complimentary water bottle upon arrival (sparkling water which is not our liking anyway). To say the least that is insufficient. They do have water fountains at some unmarked locations around the resort which we did not think was a great substitute solution for water bottles which would be more certifiably hygienic.
- We had two negative staff interactions:
1- Unpleasant encounter with a staff member regarding our infant crying.
2- We forgot an item (floatie) in the pool and they had difficulty in retrieving the item. Although we informed the reception staff the same day, no one took note of the issue and the next day the staff member who supervises the pool area was not active in listening to our concern or made any immediate efforts to finding the item.
Moreover, when I communicated with them by email I received conflicting information regarding the item's status. In one email they said they found the item. To which I requested that they mail it to me. Then they replied that they did not actually find the item!
