Although some rooms are small, upgrading is worth it. Staff were welcoming, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was relaxing. Guests would return.

They had a wheelchair we could borrow in order that we could get to our room.
No proper disabled facilities. Too many fire doors to negotiate while pushing my husband in the wheelchair, some we had to push and some we had to pull. Very difficult at being over 70.

Good location and accommodation with a few issues.
Large comfortable bed and room.
Radiator would not turn off. Room was very hot all night. Air condition unit kept making noises. Was thick with dust inside. Did report this to reception on 2nd morning. Still issues on return to the room in evening. They did offer to move me on the 2nd night at 9.30. Was informed the following morning as I left they do not have a regular maintenance man. There has been several occasions on previous stays where there has been radiators problems. This will not stop me coming to this hotel as I really enjoy it here and find the staff friendly. Will be coming for Christmas so hopefully things will be OK with the rooms.

Average no Christmas atmosphere
The location was nice I can imagine in the summer the grounds would be great when we were there there was very few guests in fact we didn't see anyone else I was not sure the restaurant was open for dinner or breakfast
The hotel perhaps could have had a refurb in some areas our room and bathroom was very tired bathroom was also quite cold
