Disappointing and did not live up to the Taj name
We arranged airport pick up on arrival by the hotel. Airport pick up was smooth and comfortable.
On arrival to hotel shortly before midnight, room was not ready which was disappointing, given normal check-in time is 3:00 pm and we reached hotel close to midnight. This was rather frustrating as the hotel knew we were on the way when the hotels airport pick up driver informed them we were in the car. We were travelling with children ages 6 and 3 who were tired after a long journey and we still needed to wait for a room.
The room was aged, worn down and dusty and we could see clumps of dust.
Housekeeping inadvertently took away one of our childrens favourite stuffed toy during room make up service, and we had to hunt and enquire with the hotel until it was found and returned.

The location sea facing rooms, a typical well maintained / manicured TAJ property !
The halfboard dinner at Vista ( restaurant) was a cataclysmic let down, littered with chaos and poor service , underwhelming unlike the brand taj
Waiters at the chat counter were clueless and conflicted about serving it there or getting it to the table the buffet had no cutlery left out ( the cake counter had no knives / spatulas! )
Our pizza arrived after 73 minutes with two nudges
The flat breads never arrived!
It was complete shambles avoid vista like the plague !

I should have specified a non- smoking floor. Whenever I entered the room, I could smell cigarette smoke(maybe in the soft furnishings from previous occupants). Of course after the few moments, our nose got used to the smell and it wasnt a huge deal so we didnt change the room , but the next time I would prefer a non-smoking floor.
