Guests appreciated the Belsfield Hotel's great location and friendly staff, but were disappointed by unexpected parking charges. Some found the hotel to be hot, with small TVs in spacious rooms. Brea (Read More)kfast was varied but the English breakfast portion was small on one occasion. Despite some service issues like receiving the wrong bottle of wine and missing milk with coffee, overall the stay was enjoyable with helpful staff and a fantastic view from the restaurant.

The location, the food, the room, the view of lake Windermere.

We received a knock on the door early morning on the day of our departure my wife was in the shower and the staff informed us the shower was leaking and going through the ceiling of the room below. We were obviously told not to use our shower anymore therefore I had to go to another room down the corridor through public areas past the lifts and stairs passing other guests in my bath robe and towel with my wash bag to get a shower! This was obviously not the experience I was expecting during our stay at such a prestigious hotel. Room 72.

Location and room was excellent and beautifully presented.

Breakfast service was terrible and well below the level of service to be expected in a 4 star hotel. It is letting the hotel down. It may be because staff were not arranged into designated area each, so no one came to take our order for 20 mins - eg got our own toast but no butter or tea for 20 mins, main order was taken then we were ignored for 20 mins... Pretty basic task but a shambolic service. Totally inefficient management.
