A little quirky with rooms a bit hard to find because of the labyrinthine layout of the much extended hotel. But this sort of added to the hotel's charm!

Apart from the restaurant- great.
The hotel was lovely. Quiet and in a really lovely location near to Keswick. The room was lovely and the bed was really comfortable, a bit of a welcome surprise . The pool was great and myself and my family made good use of it whilst we were there.
Although The Tavern Restaurant was nice I found the service poor. My grand children didn't get their meal on our second night even though we ordered with ours and by the time they got it they were passed caring and we were long finished
Brought this up on paying and was told by the bar staff they would give a discount - 3 of a 110 pound bill. POOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nowhere else to eat nearby so feels like they can do what they want and charge what they like!

Friendly well-located hotel with good sized pool and spa facilities. Plenty parking and great staff!
Breakfast was average and as you would expect at a mid-range hotel. The staff were very hard working, diligent and we noticed working very long hours. They were all very helpful, polite and smiling when under pressure.
Evening dinner is awful! It is obvious that evening dinner is supplied as an expectation and not as something that the hotel is wanting or promoting it is doing. The menu was basic but ok. The food quality was the cheapest and was cooked to the minimum requirements. This is the second stay at the hotel and dinner was not good the first visit, but we were tired after a days walking so decided to try again and it was actually awful this time.

Think your staff over worked.wouldnt recommend it for new years eve. Sad because the place has potential.

Rooms are clean and comfortable, great leisure facilities, lovely pool.
I was disappointed in the food. Breakast is not too bad, though room for improvement where quality is concerned. The mains in the restaurant were very bland and lacked choice.
