Perfect location very short car journey to keswick town. Lovely place with excellent food. Sat by the warm fire. Me and my partner really enjoyed it will be coming back again.

Nicely decorated, lovely old building, good breakfast.

Bed very soft, pillows poor. Dogs allowed in dining room which we feel isn't acceptable.

Overall a wonderful stay and will definitely be back!

Friendly helpful staff. Exceptional food. Beautiful location. Lovely big bath. Great drying room for costs and walking boots. Very dog friendly but still managed to maintain its cleanliness and no dog smell!

Cosy romantic hotel in beautiful surroundings

We came for a rare trip away without the kids for a big birthday and we absolutely loved this stay from start to finish. We ended up dining here too because it was just so cosy The staff were amazing and helpful at all times especially the young lady serving at dinner and breakfast. So nice to be welcomed like that, it made it so pleasant. There's a lovely woodland next door for a convenient and picturesque walk and you can see beautiful lake and forest views from the rooms and everywhere you look really. The house was beautifully and tastefully decorated for Christmas and it was just perfectly done. Loads of good parking and easy to get to. The evening meals in the snug or bar are delicious and breakfast set us up for the whole day! Wonderful breakfast choices. A proper getaway.

Good stay,would stay again but look for a bigger room and bigger bathroom

Great location and so dog friendly which was the reason we booked it.We ate in the restaurant which was good and the breakfast ok.

Stayed in room 6 which was small especially as we were travelling with 2 labs.The bathroom ,although clean and modern it was so small that theres no room to move in there especially being a big fella.
