    How one thing can taint a stay.
    Great staff, great old building that has been maintained very well. Food on the whole excellent. Parking a bonus.
    What was left in a bin in the bathroom which had supposedly been cleaned and checked before our arrival was unacceptable. I have contacted the hotel twice, once by email and again via their own feedback online form but have received no acknowledgements.

    Fantastic in every way! Beautiful pub and hotel, extremely friendly service and incredibly dog friendly! The tennis ball and venison stick for our little dog was such a nice touch! Absolutely faultless stay, would recommend in a heartbeat!

    Wonderful friendly, pretty, cosy and quality place to take a short break
    Wonderful atmosphere in the lounge and bar etc. lovely room with very comfy bed. Good food, great wines and a top, top staff who are so friendly and helpful. We stay in lots of places but this is one of our favourite places for a short break.

    I was up seeing my brother and this was ideal as it was a short walk from where he lived. nice bar restaurant area, comfy beds. I use the hotel regularly when in the area.

    Booked a the largest room short of a suite and seemed to be given the smallest room. Paid extra for nothing.

    Would go back but ask for a room at the back as street was quite noisy.
