    Disappointed by lack of staff
    Warm and cosy on a wet and windy night. Nicely cooked eggs for breakfast.
    Staffing levels .. no one on reception and no one to serve breakfast until I went to find them. Only one chair in the bedroom!

    A truly memorable mini-holiday in a fantastic hotel with wonderful surroundings.
    ALL the staff were top notch, plus; accomodation was good, cleanliness was good, catering was excellent, convenience was good, privacy was good, setting, and, grounds were perfect.
    1. We did advise on our booking that our 12yo son's left foot and lower leg were newly encased in an orthopaedic fracture support boot so being assigned a 2nd floor room without lift access was a tad inconvenient. 2. Two security dongles (or hotel wide public access internal telephones) are needed for a family of 4 like us, as more than once we were caught locked out of the 2nd floor security fire door. 3. The bathroom door hinges creaked so need oiling - as a family room the bathroom is often used late at night and early in the morning. 3. A staff cocktail tutorial is suggested to include; Black Velvet, Poor Man's Black Velvet, St Clements. This is especially appropriate with Harrogate fairs attracting many business visitors, especially, the gifts and jewellery ones with their particularly 'gentille airs&graces' staff and proprietors.

    Comfortable warm and quiet good location.
    Good Location plenty of free parking, character building lovely garden. Comfortable room with tea making facilities, good size Smart TV.
    Perhaps an offer of help quite a few steps to the first floor, no ground floor bedrooms. I have stayed at the Pine Marten many times so I know about the steps.

    Perfect in every way.
    The staff were exceptionally efficient, kind and paid great attention to detail. Our meals were really lovely and the late check out with availability of breakfast or brunch much appreciated.
