Reviewers Mention About The Turks Head

The Turks Head is a fun pub with great beer and friendly staff in a fantastic town center location. The pub offers delicious food, especially the fried chicken and buffalo wings. Accommodating staff, (Read More) comfortable rooms, and a mix of modern and historic decor make overnight stays enjoyable, although mobility accessibility may be an issue. The pub also offers discounts, supports the Blue Light Card, and has a micro-brewery on site.

Pleasant
Ideal for a 1 or 2 night stay
This is an ideal location for the City Centre
It is noisy from the bar below which is to be expected and ear plugs are provided. To be fair this is made very clear at time of booking

Great value for money, will defo be back
The room decor was gorgeous, the facilities were great, the bed was comfy, very boujee, good price and the bathroom was very clean!
Both the room and bed were quite small, a fair bit of dust in the room on coffee machine and desk area and it was quite noisy with it being above a busy pub.

Fantastic location, right in the city centre. Five minutes walk from Exeter Central train station. Two minutes walk to the Cathedral and right amongst shops, restaurants and other bars.
All the rooms are located up, at least one steep flights of stairs. This wasn't mentioned at the time of booking. Some rooms up two and some up a further spiral staircase. We were allocated a third floor room, which my husband could not have climbed to, but the young lady who checked us in very kindly found us a room on a lower floor.

Excellent value for money
Really spacious room, nice big tv and great bathroom with powerful shower. Heating unit which was handy and tea/coffee and biscuits.
Bed was comfy but very squeaky. A few unidentifiable hairs in the bathroom. Some noise from the pub but it died down at 11pm (Sunday night) / that said Im not sure Id want to stay over a busy weekend just purely because of noise.

Enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return.
It was very convenient for the Christmas market and the shops. It was an interesting building with lots of character. It was very close to the Guildhall multi storey car park, where we left our car for the night. The room was clean, comfortable, warm and the bar was full of atmosphere.
The stairs mean you need to be physically able to access the rooms.
