    A good hotel stay but one that could easily have been better.
    The location is excellent. It is a beautiful part of DC, and very convenient to major attractions. The hotel is new, and very well-maintained.
    Our room was poorly lit. It was too dark to read, except directly under the reading lights on the bed. The hotel also engages in the deceptive practice of adding destination fees to every day of the day. Beware! The daily charge is far different from the room rate.

    Great value for money for a luxury room.
    Value for money at this location was fantastic. Room was a great size and had all the modern creature comforts. This will be my go to for future visits to DC.
    My only frustration was that we were not informed of the total authorisation amount at check in. Normally this wouldnt bother us however our stay was rather long so the authorisation charge was fairly large.

    I always book the Thompson when friends come to visit in DC. The hotel is beautiful, the location is fantastic, and the rates are fair.
