    The TownePlace Suites by Marriott Asheville Downtown is a newer hotel with an excellent location for walking to downtown Asheville. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean, modern, a (Read More)nd spacious, with comfortable beds and well-equipped kitchenettes. The breakfast options are good, and the facilities, including an exercise room and outdoor area with a fireplace, are convenient. Some rooms may experience noise from the nearby highway. Overall, it is a solid option for families and offers decent value for the price.

    The breakfast was ample but mostly prepared which makes sense. I became a fan of the oatmeal bar which really elevated a breakfast staple. I admit being surprised to find a laundry on the first floor, near the registration desk and fitness center. That would certainly be a plus at the end of a trip but I was totally unprepared for a full kitchen in the room! Overall the room was a really gracious setup, plenty of plugs for recharging, multiple seating areas, lovely setup for wardrobe, made me feel a little guilty to have it all to myself. The shower is a wonder too. Now my view was of a highway but the blessing was it was sight only, not a sound intruded and the window coverings enabled multiple choices in screening.

    You could toot your horn a little louder. Because I drove in and around the block, the hotel is on a one way street, I had no idea how close it really was to downtown. Staff was really helpful in that regard, i giving great directions and it's only a 10-15 minute walk to where there are so many great things to see and do in Asheville; great restaurants, historic buildings, a fantastic Basilica. There's a wall map near the elevator which does show those things but it didn't stand out until I had done the walking.

    Location was great
    The parking was insufficient. There was literally no parking after we returned from an event. The property has an unpaved, un-monitored lot next door they offer as a solution. As a paying customer I expect easy access to the facility when dealing with luggage etc. Maybe have employees park out back or better yet, pave and secure the lot.

    Location in Downtown Ashville, nice room with kitchen, covered parking, can walk downtown. Nice breakfast.
