Since Chris has quickly responded to my review as he does to any review that he deems not to 100% (when I read a few reviews down),I am editing my review!! I did email Chris several times with my issues when I arrived home suppling photographs of the accommodation not to gain a monetary gain but perhaps to receive just a simple apology which would have been accepted. I never received a reply to any emails I have sent. We returned to our native Cornwall to attend a family funeral staying 5 nights in another property locally without problems before heading off to Woodlands cottage to meet with family who live close by and then onto Bristol staying at another booking.com UK property again with out issues before returning back to France. I will now upload a few photographs of the accommodation onto my review that I did send to Chris which are only a sample of the photographs that were taken during our stay.
Woodland cottage looked perfect for a short stay to see family who lived locally but it was a nightmare to find when we did it was dirty and unkept, there were cobwebs and dirt all over,old food stuck to the kitchen surfaces,stains running down the kitchen walls, the cooker was greasy so we had to order in food, only 1 wine glass in the cupboard!! The whole place smelt damp and musty,there was mold around the doors to the patio.The main bed had broken slats,the bathroom wasn't clean,outside lights didn't work,not even a little milk in the fridge when we arrived so we could have a drink just as well as the tea,coffee and sugar had been there for a lifetime because the coffee had set hard in the pot!!.To be honest we were very disappointed with the standard of this accommodation it was not what we expected.We sent several messages to the owner but have yet to receive a reply.
