    Welcoming, Enchanting, peaceful, restful and definitely a place to return to.
    What a beautiful setting and so peaceful! We were welcomed by Vanda, such a caring and kind lady. Vanda had prepared a wonderful homemade cream tea for us! Tony, Vandas husband, had put lovely fairy lights up around the outside of the lodge and on two small trees on the decking. A Christmas wreath adorned the outside of the lodge door. It all looked so pretty! Inside, Vanda had decorated the the bed posts and had various Christmas wreathes and flowers dotted around, which we really appreciated. There were thoughtful additions, like doggy towels and covers for the sofa, hot water bottles, towels and flannels, Vanda had thought of everything we could need! The lodge was incredibly well insulated and so was nice and warm and cosy inside. There was plenty of wardrobe and drawer space and the lodge had an ironing board, iron and hairdryer. It was fully equipped for cooking, with an oven and hob, crockery, cutlery, glasses, cooking pans and utensils and cleaning materials. There was a fridge, a T.V and some books and videos. The heating was more than adequate and the lodge had such a lovely feel, with beautiful views of the lake and trees and lots of wildlife. We took our dog walks around the lake and enjoyed the lovely plants and vegetation. We wished we were able to stay longer but we will come back during the spring, to fully appreciate the flowers and trees.

    Fantastic cabin in a lovely quiet location next to a lake and plenty of room for the dog to run around. Cabin extremely comfortable and ideal for a romantic break

    Beautiful location with all you could need for a break
    Very secluded and easy to get to. Self contained and had all the items you would need to be self sufficient for the week. Very comfortable bed & sofa. WiFi was strong in the living room to stream Netflix, but would drop out in the bedroom. Lovely surprise of a cream tea on arrival. Heating worked great and the lake was a bonus should you want to stretch your legs for a wonder.
    Unfortunately, when it rained and then stopped the rain dripping off the tree above the bedroom onto the roof was very loud. If you are a heavy sleeper (like my partner) then it wont bother you at all! Other than that it was a perfect stay.

    Quiet idyllic location.
    Beautiful secluded location. Easy access to main roads. Very comfortable and well equipped. Cream Tea ingredients waiting on arrival is/was a bonus. Second visit and will go again .
    Struggling to find something! Not within their control - roadworks on the last bit of A30. Narrow farm track from road. As I say difficult to find fault!

    A peaceful, tranquil setting like no other
    We were welcomed so warmly, and even got surprised by a delightful Cornwall cream tea! My mum and I truly felt connected to our beautiful surroundings. Such a peaceful setting so close to the outside world, yet felt a million miles away. A true holiday break.
    Not a thing, the amenities were above and beyond for such a seemingly simple get away set up. Every need was catered for, and more!

    Great place and should we holiday in Cornwall again, then we will certainly check on Polgwedhen lodges availability !
    Very clean in a perfect location and local to all the main towns. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming . We would certainly recommend Polgwedhen lodge as a cosy retreat for couples , looking for a Peaceful retreat.

    Excellent place to stay for peace and quiet
    Lovely little cottage tucked away in a quiet spot. Was handy to things we wanted to visit. Nice touch to have homemade scones and cream on arrival
    All was good but we did miss washing machine
